SeAnDi,

Althought your post may be a good example of why to choose a Dazon Raider over simular brands I removed your post because your kart in fact is different then a Dazon. As stated in other places on this forum the karts are simular in frame and components (actually the KPX kart is like last years 2003 Dazon) but the motors are very different. THe first thing to know is that a 150 four stroke has only one gear so your comment on cycling through the gears does not make sense.

I have no experience with the KPX kart but I have never heard of a Dazon experiencing these problems.

The 2004 Dazon karts are much different then anything you find on the market. Dazon has been selling these kart longer then any other company and they have made many advances you won't get with another brand.

My only suggestion is that you should seek a refund from your dealer and go with a Dazon Raider for maximum performance and quality. Plus we are a local dealer to you and we can service your kart.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply,

I am a local (San Luis Obispo) and have been riding the dunes since I was 8 years old. I have a fairly good und erstanding of the mechanics of all of the toys that I own which include motorcycles, ATV's and now these carts. I researched the prices of the carts that I was interested in and went with the cheaper model if not just for that fact. I never stated that I was not interested in one of the Dazon models. Actually quite to the contrary, once I have some fun on these I'll probobly sell um and upgrade. If not upgrade 1st. And yes, Dazon, is my 1st choice when that time comes. I am just now trying to figure out what makes these things go and had a technical question about the motor. I have never (believe it or not) dealt with a CVT tranny before and now know that it consists of a pully and/or cone system. I am sorry if I made myself sound like if I did not know what I was talking about, but to  blunt, I did not.  I hoped that this forum would be an un biased one and could have my question answered without any objection and that someone out there would share their common knowledge of mechanics of this type with a bit of, i guess, help in mind. I did not expect that it would be suggested that I should send back my new toys and buy another. Come on....thats not cool. And I also did not mean to post my post three times either. I do not know how that happened but I do apologize for that. Please, If anyone might know what exactly the line is that comes out of the front of the motor and blows air and where exactly it might go...(it had a clip on the end.) That would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have done a great deal of research concerning the KPX, Dazon and other karts of similer design, From what I have found that all of the Karts are made in the same plant by the same people. "Peoples Motor Company" If you go through the website "Dazon" you can find the "Peoples Motor" website. From what I gathered Peoples Motor Company is the parent company for Dazon, BUT they also sell karts to whoever wants to buy them "KPX" for example. They make a few minor modifications and call it there own.

WHERE you get your BIG difference is the Customer support and Service! KPX is very new to the karting world and are unable to provide you with the simple things like, PARTS! And dont even consider asking about detail specs of the vehicle.

Smart money goes toward Dazon for the simple reason of support, when you have a question, warranty issue or simply need to replace that control arm you broke when you hit the curb at full throttle.

If anyone can correct me on my comments, Please do..I have been wrong before and dont mind admitting it.

SeAnDi,

Sorry if I offended you in anyway. With the title of your post it just looked like you had a gripe about a Raider and I did not want to mislead readers.

It's kinda hard to tell what the tube you are reffering to is without looking at it. There are several breather tubes coming from vaious components but like you said if it has a clamp on the end it probabley belongs somewhere. If you want to swing it by the shop we can take a look at it for you no charge. We are at 930 Huber Suite D in Grover Beach. Just shoot us call to make sure we are there. 680-9996.

As stated elsewhere the frames and components are often made in the same factory. The differnece is in the engines which each company provides itself. Also the updated frame design of the 2004 Dazon karts is not available from anyone else. The difference in egines is why the Dazon aftermarket parts won't fit on a twister KPX or Kasea.

God luck and see ya at the Dunes!

If someone DOES have a gripe or is not satisfied with a Dazon product and you remove it, that in itself is misleading readers.

This is a Dazon forum, let all Dazon info be posted, positive and negative.

This is why I take this forum with a grain of salt, no negative comments except for all other brands.
