Just wanted to get the word out on the 2004 Dazon vs Kasea comparison. I was looking for a buggy for my yougest boy Jake, his older brother rides a quad but I felt a buggy would be safer. I went to Sand Highway to see the Dazon Raider and it was nice. Then I found a guy in LA that sells the Kaseas and checked them out. I guess he is not nor anyone actually allowed to sell them legally in California yet but anyway they were ok looking too. Actually the frame and components were exactly the same but the engines are different. Maybe it was just that one kart but the Dazon seems fasters and way more solid. Turns out I would have not been able to get my green sticker for the Kasea anyway!

But to keep it short the we bought the Dazon and now the older boy wants one! Fine with me those quads are expensive and dangerous.

Oh yeah I researched the Carter carts online but never saw one. The seem small..more like a go cart.

Got any questions let me know here. I have done my research.

Well i got it !!!!! and I must say it's GREAT!!! But i found one problem with it, the problem being my fault both times, i found that if you dont buckle up the passenger side seat belt when your driving alone you run it over with the back tire, i did this twice, i need a better memory..........

I have done that too. Also watch out if you are not wearing the driver seat bealt. I have let it drag down and melt on the exhaust pipe. Doh

Just found this thread  - thought I would make a comment.

I have a 03 kasea 150 buggy.....I have had it for 8 months....I am currently in the middle of rebuilding the top end.. the air cleaner must have been something that kasea decided did not need as much R&D.  The air cleaner was letting loads of trash by and it did in the valves, rings etc.  I have had the valves reseated and ordered some new rings (which took forever to get here) I am not putting in a new piston or reboaring the engine (though after all this work I think I should have) I hope to get it bolted up in the next couple of days and get it running. again.

I should mention that the kids had a blast riding it for about 4-5 months.  we (myself and the kids) rode it hard and loved it until we realized that all the time the air cleaner was letting trash by.

so now that the tore down buggy has taken up the garage space for 2-3 months I hope to get it out and running again.

if i had to choose I would probably buy a different brand next time. one that had a reputation.  when I bought this machine they had not been making them for very long.

the kasea dealer that I bought it from would not think of covering the engine under warantee because it has a 90 day only warantee on manufacturers defects.

I also had to pay postage due on the parts when they came because kasea did not put enough postage on the  package.

anyway..........I recommend purchasing from a reputable dealer and buying a machine that has a good reputation.  the 03 kasea buggy costed me 2k in january and I think if I held out I could have bought a competing machine that was better for less.............

anyway..........good riding

(ps my 8 year old has a honda xr50  - now there is a real bullet proof bike.  honda had it right
