Not very happy

I bought a 250 prototype about three months ago from a dealer in Nashville Tn. I have since had problems with a missing engine, and a break rotor that was warped when i bought it, causing it to wear out the rear brake pads. For beginners,I made a 2hr. one way trek to Nash. only to be given the runaround and they finally replaced the coil that day and said it was fixed but it wasnt. Then said it could be the stater,so I asked if they would ship me the stater and I would perform the install and they said ok. That was 6 wks ago and still no stater.I called a few times asking about it only getting the answer that we just forgot and we will get it right to you, but still no stater.I also found it quite frustrating that they wanted me to pay for brake pads that a factory defect caused to go bad.Not to mention the fact its been over three months and I still havent received my certificate of origin.

I have considered selling this machine, but hate to sell to anyone I know due to the sorry service I have received and don't want to pass this on to them. Not to mention the fact that I cant sell without a title. If your in the Nashville area and consider buying from this dealer on Murfresboro road, I suggest you reconsider. Not knocking the product,it is as good or better than alot of the competition but the service SUCKS!!!!!

Never buy a prototype. It means there is no consumer testing and that is a big gamble. Dazon has yet to release the production model for that very reason. The new 250s have been released in Europe but have many changes from the prototype you may have bought. The prototype is an important part of any vehicle production but I don't think they should be sold to the public.

I am waiting for the US release of the 250s but even then I will wait a while to see feedback. We have a 150 which has performed perfectly but they have been in production for several years now and the 2005 150 has tons of changes from the first release.

As for crappy service that is a tough one considering the limited options in local dealers.

Please dont misunderstand. The buggy is awesome!! Just a few minor gliches that can easily be worked out with a little co-op from the dealer. The Team Dazon sight has pictures of the new 250 and I like mine many times over. The independent susp. on the rear is a great design with the smoothest ride you have ever seen, and the frame design and overall appearance beats not only the competition hands down, but in my opinion, the new 250's also. This model was one that was modified after factory testing in which the swing-arm on the rear was the only problem, and since the mod., there was no more problems that I am aware of.

The only reason for this post is a warning to other customers about a certain dealer. I also have 2 of the 150's, and have also had several dissapointing situations with the dealer over these buggys.Seems like they want to make the sale, but then dont have time for you.The only thing is I like the product, and this is the only dealer in this area, so if I wanted one, they were my only option. Another example of service; took 6 mnths. to get the certificate of origin on my first 150. The second 150 and the 250 were bought at the same time which was 3mnths. ago,and still no certificate an these either as of yet. Tried to get brake pads for a 150 and the 250, took off the old ones, gave them the part numbers that were stamped on the pads, and they still didnt order the right ones.

I totally endorse the dazon buggys, they are great machines. Just want other customers to beware, and let other dealers  understand that the service is as much if not more important to the customer as the initial sale.

so is the 250 noticably more powerful that the 175? Is it worth more money? That is, if it was working?

It is a little faster and has a little more torque, but keep in mind the machine weighs about 600lbs. If your lookin for a neck jerking ride, it ain't there. If your looking for a machine to give a good smooth ride on semi-rough terrain, and joy ride a little, then it's perfect. I like the leg room and ease of getting in and out of. I am 6'2" and have a bit of trouble with the room in the 150, but not this one.

So, I guess it boils down to this. Smoother ride and lots more room than the 150, but all that extra size is extra weight, which eats away at your power, but it still has some more than the 150.

You mean you have to title these buggies to sell them.I also heard the production 250S were loade in containers ready to ship to US and they pulled them out of containers because they found more problems with them.I believe dazon cares about putting a good product out or they would of shipped them over here with problem still unfixed .
