 250 proto i have tends to miss when engine reaches + - 5000rpms.,and throttle is plained at this level. [No miss during acceleration.] Dealer said coil but not a fix.  Any ideas?


   Just curious but anyone had problems with front strut/lower balljoint connection? Noticed some play in one side of my 250 and also my 150.Failure could really be painful#/?*.

Never had a problem with the balljoint. One guy broke the top balljoint on impact with a rock but other then that I have never heard of any problems.


On the 250 I would guess coil as well. Try soldering on the connections. They were loose on the 2003 models but the new coils don't get loose. Did you swap it out?


If you can't figure it out call Dazon directly and talk to the tech guy. Your dealer should be able to fix anything though.

 Coil was replaced by dealer and wires seem to be tight.Wondering about fuel supply or carb.


The miss is not like a missfire, but almost like turning ignition off for 1/2 sec. and back on.

it is a rev limiter built into the cdi ignition system ,replace with aftermarket

I know you probably already did but check you rignition wires. Mine loosed up after some hard offroading. I used lock tight and problem solved.
