Rear Brake Adjustments
Permalink

I have a raider 150 double and the parking brake no longer holds.  It was ran while the brake was engaged.  Is there an adjustment I could make in the cable to tighten the brake?  The leaver still has good tension on it, however, the brake will not hold.  I know the cable is pulling because I can see it when I work the lever.  If there is no adjustment, I made need new pads on the rear.  Please help.

I have had three dazons and they all have done this.Poor design I guess.

Give up on trying to make it hold, all your gonna do is wear out pads. When you get it adjusted where the break will hold, it will drag the pads. The only solution I have found is park on level ground.

That's funny I have had my two karts for over two years and the brakes hold fine. Does not seem like a poor design to me... just operator malfunction leaving the brake on. A new set of pads should do you fine!

Not a genius, but got enough sense to know when break is on or not. If your karts are over two years old, then they are 03 models. They may hold fine, but o4's do not. Asked dealer at one time and he said they couldn't get them adjusted either! Two people with the same problem sounds like bad design to me.Someone being too quick to criticize sounds like the only malfunction to me!

Don't make people with problems feel like the ediot they are not!!!
