Dazon vs Others

G'day Everyone,

Really new to this sport and wouldn't mind some of your thoughts. I had been looking at the Hammerhead Twister here in Australia as there are not many models to choose from, actually I didn't think there were any until I found Dazon yesterday. I had a look at the website for the Dazon and instantly the Dazon Raider Max 175 caught my eye and then I found your forum.

In a nutshell, any of you out there willing to give me your candid opinion about these buggies?

Thanks,

Digga

Tried Hammerheads and Sidewinders. No comp. 4 the Dazon.

Dazon out-performs,out-handles, and just looks meaner than the rest.

Good Day Digga!  For your own health and sanity, go with the Dazon Raider 150.  I have one of these (single seat) and couldn't be happier, despite some minor problems.  My cousin has a 2-seat Dazon 150 and feels the same way.  I do not know what the sidewinder is, as someone referred to, but do know the Hammerhead well and am glad that I did not try to save a few dollars and get all of the worthless accesories that it comes with, which just rattle loose, fall off, break, and then you cannot get the parts to fix.  If the performance parts for the Dazon are available in Australia, this is a no brainer, spend the money and put them on!!

Three of us bought Twister 150II's before Thanksgiving.  We ride with the four wheelers because there are no others with carts around.  The Hammerheads go most places the four wheelers go.  Once in a while we jump out with our limb saw and have to remove a small tree, but for the most part we fit where the four wheelers go. The only problem thus far has been a reverse gearbox in one of the carts. This was taken care of in four days by our dealer under warranty.  I couldn't comment on which brand is best, I'm sure they are all about the same.  When riding single ours never run out of torque.  No matter how steep the trail the wheels keep turning but sometimes it will be to steep for any more forward movement.  I think you will have fun with any of them but I would try to be sure I had a source of parts for whatever brand you buy.  Mike in Kansas
